Well there was a problem that I found as I looked at the styles that needed to be set. Now there is a 1.3 version of WP Comment Quicktags Plus Plugin. I changed the main div’s styling from a class=”comment_quicktags” to an id=”comment_quicktags”. Then I changed the styles to ids (#) instead of classes (.). This solved a problem where the input / input:focus styles were not being passed through from the main div (comment_quicktags) to the quicktags toolbar div (ed_comment_quicktags). Now for some reason, the id (#) styles are working just fine since the class (.) styles weren’t. If anybody has any idea as to why this was happening, please let me know!

You may download the new plugin below:
wp-comment-quicktags-plus-1.3.zip

New Update

Well I added some documentation to the install steps for issues with the comment textarea and users not having the quicktags toolbar adding tags to the comment textarea. New version is 1.4 and you can download below:
I now have the final version, that is unless there is any other problems that come up. I’ve add a readme.txt file to the zip file and updated the documentation in the plugin file as well. I also added info as to how to remove or add the buttons that are in the quicktags menu bar. Please let me know what you think and if you have any problems.

You may download the new plugin below:
wp-comment-quicktags-plus-1.2.zip
