LMB^Box FilePress Update Version 0.9 Beta

I have just updated my LMB^Box FilePress plugin to version 0.9 Beta! I’ve just about finished up this plugin with the basic features. There are still some that need to be finished, but most of them are done. I wanted to have this plugin entered into the WordPress Plugin Competition and that is why I’m releasing another beta version that is not completely done yet. There is some basic documentation in the readme.txt file, but once I finish the plugin I’ll be adding more detailed information and instructions! This is from the readme.txt file in the Change Log section for 0.9 Beta:

Almost finish the beta of this plugin!

Added almost all the features.

Delete directory is not done yet!

ToDo: Add file management (rename, resize, delete, etc)!

ToDo: Finish documentation!

LMB^Box Comment Quicktags Update Version 1.7

While working on my LMB^Box FilePress plugin, I found some code that was wrong in my LMB^Box Comment Quicktags plugin. The code has to do with the deactivation prompts if to remove the settings or not. As far as I can tell, I don’t think that there was any problems with this extra “wrong” code, but anyway it’s best to have everything correct. So please update as soon as possible. This is from the readme.txt file in the Change Log section for 1.7:

Found and fixed some wrong code in the deactivation script to ask to remove DB entries.

Crossroads: LMB^Box FilePress

I’m at a crossroads point in my LMB^Box FilePress plugin for WordPress. I’m calling out for everyone’s input as to what they think/know will be better! :help_tb:

The Problem
Ok. Many of you may know about the problem with file management using PHP. If you use the standard Filesystem Functions that PHP has to upload/create/edit/remove any file(s) on your server, the user/owner for those files is the PHP/Apache user usually something like ‘nobody.’ Once you upload/create a file or directory using the PHP Filesystem Function, you will no longer have any control over the file(s) via FTP or Shell because the you are NOT the Owner of those files/directories. The other option to use is to use the PHP FTP Functions to control the file(s). With this option, you will have to enter in a FTP Username/Password and Path into the plugin in order to use it.

ADDED: I forget to mention that I believe that this only happens with Unix/Linux since it’s soo secure and I believe that under Windows this doesn’t happen/really matter, not sure though …

Which way would you like more? Please let me know soon so I can finish this plugin! Thanks all! :tongue_wink_ee:

Matt’s More Smilies Plugin!

Man I didn’t know about this plugin until now! Matt created his More Smilies plugin and posted it 10 days before I made my first post for my WP Smileys => LMB^Box Smileys plugin. I really like the Smileys that he has and I’m going to be adding them to my plugin’s archive as Smileys Lists as long as Matt doesn’t have any problems with that … I hope not! :tongue_laugh_ee: I like the advanced features of my plugin but it really lacks more interesting Smileys plus since his plugin uses Short Smileys Tags only, converting his Smilies Packages into Smileys Lists will add more Short Smileys Tags for the user to use! It’s late now so I’m off to bed, night. :sleep_tb:

LMB^Box Smileys Update Version 2.7

I have just updated my LMB^Box Smileys plugin to version 2.7! I just fixed/reworked the Smileys Convert code to fix any problems with the process of either the Smileys Tags or the Short Smileys Tags. Now your Short Smileys Tags don’t have to have any spaces either before or after the actual tag. The Smileys Convert code checks for an exact match of each word in the post/comment text to match any Smileys Tags or Short Smileys Tags. For more info, go here.

LMB^Box FilePress Small!

Well I just cranked this out for Danny. I hope that it helps him and works great. :clap_tb: :thumbup_tb: :drunk_tb:

:rasberry_ee: This is a php file uploading utility. It has a login page for secure logins using either plain text passwords or md5 hashes. You can have as many users/pass as you would like. It is only the upload/get from url feature, there is no browse feature. You just simply upload the lmbbox-filepress-small folder to your server after you have configured the settings in the lmbbox-filepress-small.php file at the top.

You may download the new plugin below:

LMB^Box Smileys Update Version 2.6

I have just updated my LMB^Box Smileys plugin to version 2.6! Well, just a day after I updated to version 2.5 I’m updating to version 2.6 … but it’s worth it! I added new options for the automatic loading and auto-load Smileys Lists features. I cleaned up the Disabled Smileys code for better performace. Added the title attribute to the IMG tag for all Smileys displayed on the Smileys Popup page or directly in the Comment Form Area. And the best thing … Short Smileys Tags! Yes, you now can use ‘:)’ or ‘:D’ and many others to display Smileys. There is alot more info in the plugin’s main file and its readme.txt file. I added a the feature to automatically add Smileys Lists / Smileys Images to the plugin! You can also now create Smileys List(s) that will automatically load into LMB^Box Smileys and you can distribute them if you wish. For more info, go here.

More Ideas for LMB^Box Smileys!

Damn these ideas just keep on rolling in! :lol_tb:
I’m working on some new features that will be added to the automatic loading feature. I’ve cleaned up the Smileys Images filenames and Smileys Tags to be more cleaner (so you may have some problems with old Smileys Tags not showing the Smiley Image on old posts, you’d have to go and change them). Also a big thing, I’m trying to have Short Smileys Tags now! I mean tags like ‘:)’ and ‘:D’ to display smileys! You’d have to asign one Smileys List to be the default List, and that one will be able to use its Short Smileys Tags! I’m working on it right now and I’m hoping to have it done before the end of the week! But still, DAMN, I need to work on my LMB^Box FilePress plugin. Here we go …. :guns_tb:

LMB^Box Smileys Update Version 2.5

You can also now create Smileys List(s) that will automatically load into LMB^Box Smileys and you can distribute them if you wish. For more info, go here.

LMB^Box Smileys Update Version 2.4

I’ve just finished updating my LMB^Box Smileys plugin to version 2.4. I added a new ability to add the Smileys to the Comment Form area directly without the Popup Page. For more info, go here.
